Bio
Robb from Belfast studied at the University of Ulster where she gained her Masters and BA Honours. She is an award winning artist whose multi disciplinary approach includes installation, painting, textile, sculpture and printmaking. Past awards include a laganside award, Millennium Fellowship, Arts & Humanities Scholarships, Tyrone Guthrie Award and Arts Council of Ireland Awards.
She has exhibited throughout Ireland, in Britain, Europe and USA. Solo exhibitions include ‘Blue‘, ‘A Sense of Place,’ Sensory Perceptions’ and ‘City’. She has a broad range of experience, delivering both public and private commissions, curating shows and coordinating national and international exchange programmes.
Robb has been involved in major public art programmes. As an artist she has created sculptures such as ‘Wall of Hope’ on the Albertbridge Road, an interface area in Belfast, delivered public Billboard Art, created 9 pieces for the award winning Hollywood Arches Integrated arts project and was archivist for the Shankill Peace Wall mural art development at Cupars walk. She has been advisor for numerous public art projects N.I. wide, including the groundbreaking Re-imaging programme and was the Commissioner for the 30m high geometric sphere landmark sculpture ‘Rise’ at the Broadway roundabout, Belfast, which is due to be completed in autumn 2010.
She is a founder member of Creative Exchange a studio collective in East Belfast, where she was chairperson form 1999-2004, a former director of The Engine Room Gallery and a current member of Belfast Print Workshop.
Robb worked as Arts Development Officer for Belfast City Council from 2004-2009 and is currently Visual Arts Officer for the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
